Catching Some Rays - The Empire Statesmen 2006

The Empire Statesmen\'s 2006 field show, a tribute to the music of Ray Charles, is called "Catching Some Rays." Charles became popular with audiences around the world during a career that stretched from the 1940s to the early part of this new century. His versatility as a composer, singer and pianist produced hit songs in every genre: blues, rock and roll, soul, country and western, ballads and pop music. \r\n\r\nThe Empire Statesmen drum and bugle corps is a self-supporting independent group that represents the city of Rochester across the United States and Canada and as far abroad as Europe, the Caribbean and South America.
