The sun shone brightly on the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 4th June 2011, which will remain a red letter day for Salvationists and brass band enthusiasts alike. For many, there was perhaps a hint of nostalgia and certainly of fond memories on international Salvation Army gatherings of years past, when massed choirs and bands graced the stage for annual festivals of music done in the \'Army\' way - with praise and prayer, emotional catharsis and spiritual uplift in equal measure. To see the vast space filled to capacity with well over 5000 people from all over the world for a brass band celebration was inspiration in itself. The huge and expectant audience was treated to a musical \'tapestry\' which emphasised the new as the means of honouring the past.____DVD available (in PAL or NTSC) from World of Brass.
